A new alleged LG V40 leaked render has appeared online, and it reveals a completely different design, than the one we spotted. According to the new leak, the LG40 ThinQ has a notch display.
Well, we did report about the phone having a side notch, which we didn’t believe was the real deal anyway. No one in their right mind, would design such a phone.
Thankfully, the new LG V40 leaked render shows that the device has a centered notch design. You can’t see it clearly in the photo, because it is hidden by the software black bar. If you look closely you can see dual selfie lenses and an earpiece in the notch.
And the LG V40 leaked render also shows three cameras on the back panel, which also doesn’t correspond with the previous report which showed dual cameras. The LG V40 ThinQ logo is also way up in the middle. The phone has a fingerprint scanner on the back panel. The back does look it has a glass back panel. The LG V40 ThinQ has a USB Type-C port and does retain the 3.5mm headphone jack, which is nice.
The LG V40’s display does look crisp because it is probably an OLED screen, and almost looks like it has an edge to edge screen, but we have seen such renders before, where companies use a glossy effect to hide the sude bezels sneakily. So, we will have to wait for the phone’s launch to say that for sure.
When will the LG V40 ThinQ be launched?
The date on the screen in the LG V40 leaked render reads 16th November, so that could be the phone’s launch date. And if that is the case, we might as well expect it to ship with Android Pie 9.0 out of the box.
