LG has just announced when it will be revealing its next flagship phone. The LG V40 ThinQ launch date has been set for October 3rd.
The phone in question will have 3 cameras. That is what the video teaser posted on the company’s YouTube channel hints at.

This does tally with a prior leak had suggested that the LG V40 ThinQ would have a 20 MP lens along with 16MP and a 13MP cameras on the back panel. The cameras are aligned horizontally, and accompanied by an LED Flash. The device will be an upgrade on the LG G7 ThinQ, but is expected to boast a similar design and internals.
Another leak did reveal that the LG V40 ThinQ has a 6.3-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a notch display design. The phone has a fingerprint scanner on the back panel. The phone has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C connector.
The device could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 6GB of RAM. And we can expect the South Korean company to continue the trend of including a Quad DAC for the audio.
We do think the phone could ship with Android Oreo out of the box, and not Android Pie because it is still a bit early for the new OS to be ready, but you never know. That’s as far as the details go for now.
Given that the LG V40 ThinQ launch date is less than a month away, we can look for more leaks to pop up, spilling more details.
