As you may know, 5G was launched at the start of this month in our Country, but not all 5G phones sold in the market actually support the technology. Airtel has published a huge list of phones that support 5G in India, to help users find whether their phones can be used for the new internet standard.
For reference, these are the 5G bands that are used in India, so your phone will need to support the corresponding baseband.

Phones that do not support 5G in India
Surprisingly, the list of phones that support 5G in India do not include any Apple iPhone. The Cupertino company needs to update the software for the following devices in order for them to be 5G compatible.

The biggest name in the Android market not to support 5G in India is the Google Pixel 6A. None of Motorola and ASUS phones support 5G here either. Other phones that are yet to get support for 5G via software update include the Honor 50, Lava Agni, LG Wing, Nokia XR20 and the Tecno Pova 5G.

It is unclear when these phones will gain support for 5G, the Government has urged Samsung, Apple and other OEMs to provide software updates to make their devices work with the new network soon. Rumours suggest that these update could arrive by December. Please refer to Airtel’s website to check if your device is compatible with the Airtel 5G Plus network.
