Three months after making its official debut, Android 5.0 Lollipop has emerged for the first time in the Google Dashboard’s Android Platform Statistics.
And it leap-frogged Froyo, becoming the penultimate member on the list, which shows the total percentage of devices running on various versions of Android.
Android Lollipop now runs on 1.6% of devices around the World. Jelly Bean’s numbers decreased by 1.5% from 46% in January, but still reigns supreme with a total of 44.5%. Kitkat saw a rather diminutive improvement by 0.6%, and now stands at 39.7%.
With the impending Android Lollipop updates set to roll out for HTC, OnePlus and Xiaomi devices later this month, there is a chance that we may see a significant increase in the statistics for March.
