The Lollipop Update for Zenfone 4 is finally here. A few days ago, ASUS had revealed that the Lollipop update for Zenfone 4, 5 and 6 would arrive soon.
After multiple delays in releasing the Android 5.0 Update, ASUS has rolled out the Android 5.0 update for the 4-inch and 4.5-inch variants, of the first generation Zenfones.
The ASUS Zenfone 4 A400CG/CXG have been updated to firmware version WW_V7.3.3. And the ASUS Zenfone 4 A450CG has been updated to the WW_V5.5.3 firmware.
The Android 5.0 update brings a new lockscreen, and changes to the dialer, contacts, InCall screen, Quick settings and Recent apps. The update also adds several new apps (bloatware you can say) and features: TripAdvisor, Gameloft, CleanMaster, Zinio, ASUS Support and Auto-start Service Manager(which we reported earlier, in the recent System update for Zenfone 5).
The Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware is incompatible with the Battery widget, Google Text-To-Speech and Movie Studio apps, which will be removed after the update is installed.
There is no word on when the Lollipop Update for Zenfone 5 will be released.
