Meizu is expected to officially unveil a new entry-level smartphone Meizu M5s, on February 15 in China. Meizu M5s has already popped up on TENAA few weeks back, with two different model number M612Q and M612M revealing technical specifications and images of the device. Ahead of the official launch on February 15, we have already seen alleged Meizu M5s real images including the box and technical specifications.
Today a new leak indicates that Meizu M5s will be launched in two variants of 2 GB RAM + 16 GB ROM & 3 GB RAM + 32 GB ROM with a price of 999 Yuan & 1099 Yuan Respectively. The leak also indicates the 2 GB RAM variant will come with a smaller display of 5 inch and without any support for fast charge while the 3 GB RAM variant will come with a 5.2 inch display along with support for fast charge. The 5 inch / 2 GB RAM variant will come with conventional 10W charger, while the 5.2 inch / 3 GB RAM variant will come with a 18W charger which supports fast charging. Usually fast charging support is not available for entry-level smartphones priced in this range.
As per TENAA, Meizu M5s sports a 5.2-inch HD screen, powered by an octa-core 1.3GHz processor along with of 2/3/4GB of RAM & 16/32/64GB internal storage. In terms of camera, it comes with 13 MP main rear camera and 5 MP front shooter for selfies. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system and is backed by 2,930 mAh battery. The leak doesn’t talk about the 4 GB RAM variant but we can safely assume it to come with fast charge support too if the leak is credible.
