Meizu is holding an event on September 5 and is expected to announce Meizu Max smartphone similar to rival Xiaomi Mi Max. We already have seen some real life images of Meizu Max getting leaked including the expected price of the smartphone. The smartphone is expected to come with a big display of 6 inch or more. Today a new leak if true reveals that Meizu Max is powered by Mediatek Helio P20 processor which is a 16 nm octa-core processor (8 x Cortex-A53, up to 2.3 GHz) with Mali T-880 MP2 900MHz GPU.
The leak also suggest that the smartphone comes with “mPen” which can be used to draw. We have never heard about mPen with Meizu before and hence we are not sure what it is, but we can assume that it is something similar to Samsung Galaxy Note ” S Pen”. If the rumor is true, then Meizu Max may turnout to be a device in the same category as that of Samsung Note devices. But at the moment, we have no credible leak or rumor to substantiate that claim. We will keep tracking this to find out if its true or not.
The leak also suggests that Meizu Max has two variants, first being the 32 GB variant without the mPen and the second being the 64 GB variant with mPen. The lower variant will be priced at 1799 Yuan (~ Rs. 18,000 or $270 ) as we reported earlier whereas the higher variant with mPen will be priced at 1999 Yuan (~ Rs. 20,000 or $300 ).
