Meizu is holding an event at Mobile World congress MWC 2017 in Barcelona on February 28 . The invite teaser comes with a tag line of “Faster than ever” which appears to be some sign of what is in store. Even though the company has not shared any details on what they plan to announce during the event, but indications are that the company may not announce any new smartphone during MWC 2017, but a new technology or innovation.
Rumors indicate that Meizu may announce the next version of its fast charging solution for smartphones. At the moment, Meizu uses mCharge 3.0 in devices such as Meizu Pro 6. Using mCharge 3.0, phone battery can be charged to 26% in just 10 minutes and reaches 100% within an hour. The company claims that it supports accurate power distribution & compared with other fast charging solutions, the efficiency of mCharge 3.0 is 20% better, whereas the temperature is 5 degrees Celsius lower.
mCharge 4.0 is rumored to offer a bit more by using a 9V/4A (36W) charger i.e. using low Voltage & high current fast charge technology mCharge 4.0, the smartphone can be charged fully from zero to 100 % in just 45 minutes. The tagline “Faster Than Ever” in the teaser invite does match with this rumor.
But as with any other leak / rumor, take this with a pinch of salt as there is no official word on this. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
