Meizu India has announced that its flagship phone, the Meizu MX5 will go on sale today, in what is its second flash sale in the Country.
The MX5 was launched in India last month, and has been one of the most sought after devices, thanks to its superb technical specifications.
The phablet runs on Flyme 4.5, based on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop, and flaunts a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p Super AMOLED display, with 401 ppi, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is powered by the high end 64-bit 2.2GHz octa-core Mediatek Helio X10 processor, along with 3GB of RAM, and a PowerVR G6200 GPU.
The MX5 16GB of internal storage, with no SD card slot for expandable memory. The Meizu MX5 sports a 20.7 megapixel camera on the rear, featuring Corning Gorilla Glass 3 lens protective glass, an ƒ/2.2 aperture, a 6-element lens, laser focus, and a dual-colour LED flashlight. The phone’s frant camera is a 5 megapixel snapper, with an ƒ/2.0 aperture.
The Meizu MX5 features a front-facing capacitive Fingerprint sensor. The mTouch 2.0 technology powered sensor reportedly has a response speed of just 0.48s, and can store up to 5 fingerprints. Other sensors on the MX5 include a Hall Effect sensor, a Gravity sensor, an IR proximity sensor, a Gyroscope, an Ambient light sensor, a Touch sensor, and a Digital compass.
The Meizu MX5 is a dual-SIM phone with dual-standby (DSDS), and supports 4G LTE ( FDD-LTE/ TD-LTE) in the main sim slot, the other one just supports 2G. The phone also offers Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS and GLONASS connectivity. The MX5 is backed by a 3,150 mAh battery, with support for mCharge fast charging technology which can charge the phone from 0 to 50% in just 30 minutes. The phone has a metal body, and weighs 149g. The device measures 149.9 x 74.7 x 7.6 mm om dimensions.
