Meizu has just made its next flagship device official i.e Meizu Pro 5. Pro 5 is announced at an event in an event in China. MX 5 was the flagship device from Meizu till now and now Pro 5 succeeds that. Just like MX 5, Pro 5 also comes with a metallic build.
Pro 5 sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 2.5D glass with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels along withCorning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 88-degree wide viewing angle. It is powered by the 2.1 GHz Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 7420 processor along with Mali T760 GPU.
In terms of RAM, it will come in two variants of 3 GB LPDDR4 RAM with 32 GB internal storage and 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM with 64 GB internal storage along with support for expandable memory with microSD cards for both variants.
It runs on Flyme OS 5.0 operating system from Meizu, which is based on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop.
In terms of camera, the main rear camera is a 21.6 MP Sony IMX230 Exmor RS BSI sensor with dual tone LED flash & laser auto focus, It comes with a f/2.2 aperture and can record 4K videos. The front camera is a 5 MP OV5670 sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
It comes with support for hybrid Dual SIM in which SIM 2 slot can also be used as a micro SD slot which effectively means that you cannot use dual SIMs and micro SD cards simultaneously.
It also comes with fingerprint sensor just like many other flagship devices. It weighs 166 gms and is 7.5 mm thin.
In terms of connectivity, it comes with support for 3G/4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and USB 3.0 with type C.
The device is powered by a big 3050 mAh battery and comes with mCharge which supports fast charging up to 24 W and 30 minutes of charging will give you up to 65% of battery capacity.

The Meizu PRO 5 comes in five different colors i.e Gray, Silver, Silver Black and Golden. In china, it is priced at 2799 Yuan (~ US$ 450 or Rs. 29,000) for 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage variant and 3099 Yuan (~ US$ 490 / Rs. 32,000) for the 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage variant.
