A Xiaomi Mi Max 3 hands on video has been leaked ahead of the device’s launch. The video does confirm the technical specifications of the phone.
The Mi Max 3 sports a 6.9-inch display in the 18:9 aspect ratio. The video is pretty much blurry, but if you look closely, you can see that the phone has a notch display design. The phone seems to have a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom right corner.
The sticker on the phone’s display highlights that the device will pack a 5,500 mAh battery. We can also see that the phone has dual rear cameras placed in a vertical array with an LED flash module sitting between the lenses. The cameras, according to the spec sheet on the screen, comprise of 12MP and 5MP lenses, with a 1.4 μm pixel size. The back panel of the device also houses the fingerprint scanner, which can be seen just above the protective layer (with the IMEI sticker).
Here is the leaked Mi Max 3 hands on video:
Previous leaks on TENAA however did not show a phone with a notch display. And that leak revealed that the phone has a dual camera setup of 12MP and 8MP lenses, which this new one doesn’t.
The processor on the Max 3 is a 1.8GHz Octa-Core chipset, and the device is expected to come in 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM variants with 32GB/64GB and128GB of storage respectively. The phones will have expandable memory support via microSD card. The Max 3 runs on MIUI 9 based on Android Oreo 8.1.
While we are not sure when the phone will be launched, the leaked Mi Max 3 hands on video suggests that it could be ready for a debut anytime. For reference, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was launched at the end of May 2017. So the Mi Max 3 has been due for a month already.
