Micromax has announced the launch of a rather unusual device, the Canvas Fantabulet, in India.
The tablet is referred to by the company as its “biggest smartphone ever”. The device sports a 6.98-inch 720p HD TFT Display, and runs on Andrtoid 5.0 Lollipop.
The Fantabulet is powered by a quad-core MT8382W/M processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, with 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The tablet comes with 8GB of internal storage, and supports up to 32GB of expandable storage. The device features an 8 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED Flash, and a 2 megapixel front camera. The device has Dual Box Speakers with DTS surround sound technology.
Connectivity options on the tablet include Dual SIM with 2G/3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4, micro USB 2.0 and GPS. The tablet measures at 99.8 x 190 x 9.7 mm and weighs at 265g, and is backed by a 3000 mAh battery. The device has the model number F666, and comes in Grey colour.
The Micromax Canvas Fantabulet has been priced at Rs 7499 in India, and is available exclusively via Flipkart. Unfortunately the online retailer, is selling the tablet exclusively through its app. On the bright side, the tablet comes with a free OTG Cable, a Screen Guard, and a Flipcover.
