Micromax has launched its first 4G enabled smartphone in India.
The Micromax Canvas Knight 2, flaunts a 5-inch HD Amoled Display (720p).
The device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, on both sides. The Canvas Knight 2runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and 2GB RAM (DDR3). The phone supports up to 32GB of expandable memory.
The Canvas Knight 2 has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on both sides, with metal in between. The phone comes with Cirus Logic Wolfson Stereo WM8998 speaker for delivering high quality audio.
The phone sports a 13 megapixel camera with Auto Focus, a Sony IMX214 CMOS sensor and LARGAN 5P lens. The front camera is a 5 megapixel camera, with Omnivison OV5648 and LARGAN 4P lens.
The Canvas Knight 2 is a Dual SIM device, which supports 4G LTE networks. Both SIMS slots support 2G/3G/4G networks. Users cam also use the Nano SIM slot with a memory card. The phone is backed by a 2,260 mAh battery.
The Micromax Canvas Knight 2 with 4G LTE, has been priced at Rs. 16,299, and will be available from June 10, in India. The phone comes with a free 4G SIM and an Airtel 4G Double Data offer which doubles the 4G data amount for any consumer activating the 4G SIM.
Micromax has also said that it will be releasing several more 4G phones, and will be upgrading the Canvas Fire, Unite, Nitro into 4G variants.
