A new tablet called the Micromax Canvas Tab P690 has been launched for Rs. 8,999 in India.
The device sports an 8-inch HD Display, which supports a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, and a 16:10 screen ratio.
The Canvas Tab P690 is powered by a 1.83GHz quad-core 4th Gen Intel Atom processor and 1GB RAM. The tablet runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, and will be updated to Android Lollipop through an OTA update.
The tablet comes with several preloaded apps like Facebook, Saavn, NewsHunt, Swift Key and WPS Office. Micromax is also offering premium content worth Rs. 3,000 for free with the Canvas Tab P690.

The device has 8GB of internal storage, and supports up to 32GB of expandable memory.
The Canvas Tab P690 features a 5 megapixel rear camera with Auto Focus, and a 2 megapixel front camera. The tablet supports 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS connectivity. The device is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery.
Accessories for the device include a Screen Guard, an OTG Cable, Earphones, a Charger, a USB Cable. Micromax is also offering a premium Flipcover worth Rs. 1500 for free with the Canvas Tab P690.
Price and Availability
The Micromax Canvas Tab P960 has been priced at Rs. 8,999 and will be available from June 7th. The tablet is available in one colour: Brushed Metallic Grey.
