Noodlecake Games have ported yet another classic iOS hit game, Mikey Shorts for Android devices.
Mikey Shorts was developed by two Americans, Mike Meade and Mike Gaughen, who actually competed with each other, before setting up the BeaverTap Games Studio.
The game features two modes, a Story mode with 72 levels, and a Challenge mode, which you can unlock by collecting 25 Stars from the Story mode.
Mikey awakens in a World where people have been turned into statues, the land is sealed off by nearby gates. He has no memory of what happened, but he must save the people. Beware though, as the land is infested with bots, who are too cute. Though they don’t harm Mikey, they do push him out of their way, wasting precious seconds, which prevents you from getting three stars on the level.
The controls are delightfully smooth, and you can also customize the buttons’ position to your liking. You have to use the arrow buttons on the left to move Mikey left and right, while the blue button on the right helps you to slide past low areas, the red button makes him jump over obstacles.
You can collect coins to buy various costumes for Mikey from the in-game store. And don’t worry, the game is devoid of In-App Purchases.
Each level also has a Golden Shorts. Go get them.
