The MIUI 11.0.9.0 Update for Redmi Note 7 is rolling out to users in India. This is a regular maintenance release, and not the Android 10 update that you have been waiting for.

We got the update notification on our phone today, and this happens to be the first update that the company has released for the device in 5 months. The phone had previously been updated to MIUI 11.0.6.0 in November 2019.
The February Android Security Patch has been included in the MIUI 11.0.9.0 Update for Redmi Note 7. Considering the delay in updates for the phone, Xiaomi’s sub-brand could have done better and included the latest security patch.
Vo-WiFi calling support for Redmi Note 7
App vault now supports Music card, while App Lock can be enabled for all apps. The biggest change however is the one that the change log does not mention. Vo-WiFi calling support for Redmi Note 7 has been enabled in the MIUI 11.0.9.0 Update. You can enable the feature by navigating to Settings > SIM card settings > Make calls using Wi-Fi.
Once you have done that, you should see the Wifi calling icon on the status bar, providing you’re using a SIM card from a service provider that supports Vo-Wifi.
