What’s new in the MIUI 11 Update for Redmi Note 8 ?
MIUI 11 for the Redmi Note 8 revamps the interface with a cleaner design. There are new ringtones based on nature sounds, which change dynamically for a fresh experience. The new Mi Doc Viewer supports previewing Documents, and the Notes app now lets you manage tasks.
There are some new options to hide the notch on the phone. There are some improvements made to the Game Turbo mode, App Vault, Screenshot editing, Lockscreen pocket mode. etc.
The version number of the MIUI 11 Update for Redmi Note 8 is MIUI 11.0.1.0 PCOINXM. It is about 664MB to download from the latest stable version of MIUI 10. The update brings the November Android Security Patch to the phone.

Is MIUI 11 Update for Redmi Note 8 based on Android 10 ?
No, sadly it is still based on Android 9 Pie, and not on Android 10.
