Xiaomi is rolling out the MIUI 12.5.4.0 Update for Redmi Note 10 Pro in India. Let us analyze what the Chinese OEM has provided in the latest OTA.
What’s new in the MIUI 12.5.4.0 Update for Redmi Note 10 Pro
Xiaomi has been notoriously slow when it comes to providing updates for its devices, and the new firmware is no exception to this.
This is the first software update for the phone in over two months since MIUI 12.5.2.0 was released. So, the company has basically skipped version 12.5.3.0, in favour of 12.5.4.0 RKFINXM.
However, the update does not include the latest security patch for the device. Instead, the MIUI 12.5.4.0 Update for Redmi Note 10 Pro brings the May Security Patch. This is shockingly bad, considering that the device had been given the April Security Patch in the month of May. With the latest update, it is already 2 months behind in terms of security fixes.
The MIUI 12.5.4.0 Update add some new Dolby effects that you can access from the device’s sound settings. The change log from Xiaomi says that it has fixed some issue related to notifications flashing in the notification shade. Thankfully, the phone remains on Widevine L1 DRM Security.
The MIUI 12.5.4.0 Update for Redmi Note 10 Pro weighs about 621MB to download. If you haven’t received the latest firmware already, navigate to the Settings > About Phone and tap on the MIUI Version section in the top left corner, to check for the update manually.
