Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi 1S MIUI6 Update has now been released.
The stable version update has finally been made available for Global users, after several months of being in beta testing phase.
The MIUI6 update for the Redmi 1S has the version number V6.6.1.0.KHCMICF
The update brings many new features, including flashing notification LED for Incoming calls, as well as a plethora of improvements and bug fixes for various apps including Contacts App, Messaging App,Lockscreen, Status Bar, Notification Bar, Home screen, Camera, Music, and more.

The MIUI6 Update for the Redmi 1S has already begun rolling out in the form of an OTA update. It is being distributed in phases,and should reach out to all users soon. You can use the “Updater” app, to check for the new version.
