Motorola’s latest budget phone, the Moto E, becomes the new kid on the block to receive Cyanogen’s custom version of Android.
Yes, the Moto E 2015 now has official Cyanogenmod.
The Cyanogenmod 12.1 nightly ROMs for the phone are already available for download. Of course standard flashing rules apply here, you will need to unlock the bootloader from Motorola’s website, which actually voids your warranty and erases the contents of your device, so proceed with caution.
And then you will need to flash a custom recovery, such as TWRP, which you can by following our guide here.
The Moto E 2015 has the codename otus, and the Cyanogenmod ROMs are available from the official download page.
