Motorola Moto G has been selling like hot cakes before the Moto E launch in India. It seems some MotoG customers who bought the device in India through Flipkart are facing activation problem as they have been shipped with IMEI numbers that are not yet registered with carriers. Due to this activation issue, some users of Moot G may be facing network connectivity problems.
Flipkart has sent an email to affected customers already explaining the issue and Motorola is working on fixing it as soon as possible.
A batch of #MotoG’s have been shipped with IMEI nos. not yet regd. with carriers & hence can't be activated. We're sorry for this! (1/2)

Here is the official statement from Motorola India from their facebook page.
Dear #MotoG customers, we’ve uncovered an activation problem with some #MotoG devices sold in India as they have been shipped with IMEI numbers that are not yet registered with carriers. If you have recently purchased a Moto G and have network connectivity problems this may apply to you. This is due to a programming error from our end and we owe you a big apology!
We are working around the clock to resolve this. If you are impacted, we’ve sent you an email via Flipkart to explain everything and what we’re doing to make it right.
If you are one of these customers, we would love to hear about the issues that you are facing. Do share with us anything related to this issue.
