A couple of weeks ago, a Spanish blog leaked a picture of the Moto G2, and it’s specifications.
Today, the phone’s specs were spotted at benchmarking website, GFX Bench.
The Spanish leak said that the phone would be called the XT 1068, while today’s leak suggests it ill be the XT 1063. However, the specifications reported in the previous leak seems pretty similar to the one leaked today.
The listing can be found at GFX Bench, and suggests that the phone will sport a 5″ 720P Display, and feature an 8 Megapixel Camera on the rear, and a 2 megapixel front camera.
It will run Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box. The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor and an Adreno 305 GPU, similar to the one on the Moto G. It also sports just 1 GB of RAM, and has 8 GB of internal storage.
So it appears that the Moto G2 specs are a very marginal improvement over the Moto G.
I do not see this attracting users of the existing variant of the phone, and it may not sell well unless it supports an external memory card either.
