The next phone from Motorola could be an entry-level one. The device’s moniker is the Moto G22, the tech specs and renders of the handset have been leaked online.
The Moto G22 sports a 6.52-inches AMOLED HD+ display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The screen has a 90Hz refresh rate, and is home to a 16MP, f/2.0 aperture selfie camera placed in the top-center.
Motorola‘s upcoming phone reportedly runs on Android 12 out of the box, and is powered by a MediaTek Helio H37 octa-core 2.3GHz processor. The yet-to-be-announced chipset has a PowerVR GE8320 to handle the graphics.
The Motorola G22 will support 4G mobile networks, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device features a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometric authentication. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging, it remains unclear whether it has a USB Type-C port, but given the affordable specs, a micro USB port cannot be ruled out.
The primary lens in the quad camera array of the Moto G22 is a 50MP f/1.8 aperture sensor. It will be assisted by an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and the usual extras, i.e. a 2MP depth sensor, a 2MP macro lens along with an LED Flash.
