Motorola is all set to announce its next gen G Series phones in India. The company has shared official renders of the Moto G40 Fusion and Moto G60, along with their key specs.
The devices have an identical design, and are equipped with a 6.8-inches HDR10 display that has a 120Hz refresh rate. The teasers don’t mention whether it is an AMOLED panel, which leads to speculation that it could be an IPS LCD panel. The Moto G40 Fusion and the Moto G60are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor.
The lack of a recessed side-mounted fingerprint reader suggests that the Motorola logo on the back panel, will double up as the biometric scanner. Even though the phones have a hole-punch camera at the top center, the bezels on the phone are quite large. The devices run on near-stock Android 11 out of the box.
The Moto G60 has a triple camera setup with a 64MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide angle/macro lens, and a depth sensor, housed in a vertical bump. All three sensors are quite large, and have a metal ring around them. The Moto G40 Fusion on the other hand has a 64MP main camera. The selfie lens on the Moto G60 is a 32MP front camera. The device is backed by a 6,000 mAh battery.
It seems like Moto is following in Xiaomi’s footsteps with what the latter did with the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, in terms of the differences between the main camera.
The Moto G40 Fusion and Moto G60 will be announced on April 20th, at 12PM in India, and will be available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart. Moto is also expected to introduce the Moto G20 soon in India.
