Last week, Motorola unveiled its 2016 flagship devices, the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force, with support for modular accessories. The company is yet to release the official price tag, but it appears that the Moto Mods themselves have been listed on Verizon.
An enthusiastic reddit user kept track of the Verizon app, and found that the modular accessories along with their prices.
Moto Mod prices:
- Motorola Insta-Share Projector Moto Mod – $299
- Wireless Charging Power Pack Moto Mod – $99.99
- Power Pack Moto Mod – $89.99
- Soundboost Moto Mod – $79.99
- Kate Spade shell is $79.
As you can see the moto mods appear to overpriced, especially the projector, for the price of which you can probably get a decent flagship phone on discount or a Nexus. But we should also consider the fact there aren’t any competitors besides the LG G5, which offer modular accessories.
But to be fair, the Moto Mods are more impressive than the LG G5 Friends. The power pack and soundboost mods are something which people could use everyday, which explains the price tag.
Of course this doesn’t mean that these are the global pricing of the Moto Mods. We will make sure to update you when the official word is out.
