Motorola has slashed the prices of its flagship phone, the Moto X 2nd Gen, and its budget phone, the Moto G 2nd Gen, in India.
Both the 16GB and 32GB variants of the Moto X 2nd Gen have had their prices cut.
The Moto X 2nd Gen was launched in India in September last year, for a price of Rs. 31,999. The company released the 32GB variant in India in December for Rs. 32,999, and also slashed the price of the 16GB variant to Rs.29,999.
But the phone has seen some serious competition in the Indian mobile market, with the likes of inxpensive yet higher end phones such as the OnPlus One, the Xiaomi Mi4 and more recently from the ASUS Zenfone 2 which was launched last week.
NDTV reports that Motorola has cut the prices of its flagship phones by Rs.3000 today. The Moto X (2nd Gen) 16 GB is now available for Rs. 26,999, while the 32GB variant retails for Rs. 29,999. The 16GB Leather and Bamboo back variants are available for Rs. 28,999.
The Moto G 2nd Gen was launched in September for Rs. 12,999. Today, it received a price cut of Rs. 2,000 in India, taking its price to Rs. 10,999.
