Just a few days after the global announcement, Motorola has launched Moto Z2 Play in India at a price of Rs. 27,999 and is available for pre-booking until June 14, across all leading offline mobile stores and online on Flipkart. Only 4 GB RAM variant of Moto Z2 Play is launched in India, though a 3 GB RAM variant was also announced during the launch in Brazil.
Moto Z2 Play features a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection & pixel density of 401 ppi, powered by 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 626 processor along with 4 GB of RAM. It comes with 64 GB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage via microSD card up to 2 TB. The phone runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) based operating system.
In terms of camera, it packs a 12 MP main rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Dual-Pixel Autofocus, Laser Autofocus, f/1.7 aperture, 4K video recording support and another 5 MP front shooter with f/2.2 aperture with dual-tone LED flash. It is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery along with Turbocharge support which claims to give up to 7 hours of power in just 15 minutes of charging.
