We are just few days away from Motorola ‘s May 13 event in New Delhi and London happening simultaneously. The event is expected to unveil or announce a even more affordable budget smartphone than the popular Moto G. Till now we have been hearing reports or rumors about the name of the device as Moto E and a bit of its specifications.
Thanks to data available on an Indian Import website, we now have confirmed details of Moto E Specs, pricing and branding. The data from Indian import website confirms that the budget device which will succeed Moto G that will be announced on May 13 is named as Moto E. In terms of Model numbers, Moto E will come in three variations i.e XT1021 (single SIM), XT1022 (dual SIM) and XT1025 (dual SIM with digital TV).
In terms of Hardware, it shows that Moto E will come with a dual-core processor, 4.3-inch display, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of Internal memory, 5-Megapixel rear camera, and a 1900 mAh battery.
The import data also points out that Moto E retail units are already being shipped ahead of the initial launch in India, with the UK, Brazil, and Mexico getting the phone few days later.
Data also shows that India imported XT1022 worth USD 136,642 with total quantity of 1,300. China is the only supplier of XT1022. All shipments were imported at Banglore Air Cargo with an average price of XT1022 per unit as USD 105.11 or Rs 6,330.
Adding custom duties etc. plus other taxes and other costs along with some profit puts Moto E expected launch price at ~ Rs. 7,999 – 8,499 i.e ~ $130 – $140.
