Motorola Moto P40 leaks are gaining steam and we have seen numerous leaks about the upcoming device. The last leak that we reported were the alleged hardware specifications of the device, preceded by the unofficial renders based on CAD drawings and the alleged press renders of the device found in this post later on.
Today, Androidpure has received some renders of the phone which confirm the earlier leaks that include the design of the phone, punch-hole camera at the top of the display instead of a notch, dual camera module at rear aligned vertically on left along with the fingerprint sensor on the rear. The case renders also confirm the 3.5mm audio jack as reported earlier. The renders also indicate IR blaster support for which a hole is visible at the top of the cases apart from the audio jack hole.

Motorola P40 Specifications leak: features 48MP camera, Snapdragon 675
We have already seen alleged renders of Motorola P40 a few days back which revealed the design of the phone including the in-display selfie camera, 3.5 mm headphone jack and dual cameras at back. Today, the hardware specifications of Motorola P40 have leaked on the web which reveals the basic hardware specifications of the device along with a render image that matches with the earlier leak.
The leak indicates that Motorola P40 sports a 6.2 inch HD+ IPS display and is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor. It comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The phone runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) based stock Android operating system (Android One) for the rest of the world except China. In China, it will be running on Lenovo ZUI.
In terms of camera, it features a 12MP front camera sensor with f/1.8 aperture placed in the punch hole at the top while there is a dual camera module at rear consisting of the 48MP + 5MP sensors with f/1.75 aperture. This appears to be the same 48MP sensor that we have already seen in devices such as Nova 4. The phone is backed by a 4130 mAh battery. Other features include NFC support.

Motorola P40 Android One leaked renders reveal in-display selfie camera, 3.5 mm headphone jack, dual rear cameras
Apparently, Moto (by Lenovo) is the latest to jump on to the “in-display selfie camera” train. That’s what these Moto P40 Android One leaked renders reveal.
These aren’t the official renders of the device, but ones made by Onleaks/91Mobiles. Still, they clearly show us what the phone looks like.
Let’s start with the back panel, the Moto P40 Android One has dual rear cameras which are vertically aligned, and a Dual LED flash (placed horizontally) below the lenses. You can see that the word 48MP is etched near the lenses, meaning one of the cameras is a 48-megapixel sensor. The device has the Android One branding, and a Motorola logo on the back, the latter should double up as a fingerprint scanner. The back panel is encased in glass.
The Moto P40 Android One leaked renders show a nice tall display, which is purportedly a 6.2-inch panel, that houses the selfie lens in the top left corner. The wallpaper has been sneakily designed in a dark colour, to hide the bottom half of the display, because there is a large chin. And there is a Motorola logo on the chin, yippee.
The device has a USB Type-C port on the bottom frame, while the top frame has the 3.5mmheadphone jack.
Motorola P40 Android One tech specs
- Display: 6.2-inch
- Rear Cameras: Dual cameras (including a 48MP lens) + Dual LED Flash
- Security: Fingerprint Scanner
- Connectivity: USB Type-C Port, 3.5mm headphone jack
- Selfie Camera: In-display sensor
Other tech specs of the Moto P40 Android One remain a mystery, but we will keep an eye out for more info. The device should be launched globally, but we think it may debut first in China like the Moto P30, before it debuted as the Moto One Power for the rest of the world.
