Rumor mills are churning in full swing for Xiaomi smartphones and are in no mood to stop. We have already seen leaks / rumors for devices such as Mi 6, Mi 5C and Mi Note 2. Even though they are just rumors, they do give us a sneak peek on what Xiaomi may be working on and may launch sooner or later.
Today a new leak surfaced on Chinese social network Weibo (via) which shows a mysterious Xiaomi Smartphone images from back portions showing the main rear camera, MI logo at the bottom and a small screen aligned vertically in the middle below the camera. The display at back is similar to E-ink displays that we have seen in other devices, but the placement & its vertical alignment appear odd.
The leaked image comes with a tag line of “Long awaited” and the year 2016. The secondary display appears to be in two parts with one part showing the time and the second part showing the notifications perhaps.
At the moment, we got no idea of what this device is or whether it will be launched officially or not. We don’t even have any clue on the technical specifications of the device or even its name.
