A new Android 12 update for OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro has been announced. The company had released the firmware earlier this month, but came under flak from users who reported that the build was buggy. A report by a blog indicated that the issues were caused by the merging of ColorOS and OxygenOS, which is now practically the one and the same.
A week ago, the Chinese OEM pulled the OTA update, effectively suspending the rollout. The brand also provided instructions in order to assist users to roll back to OxygenOS 11. It promised to re-release a new update after fixing the reported issues.

And that is what it has addressed by rolling out the new Android 12 update for OnePlus 9 and Pro to anxious users. The patch improves the startup speed and the image effect of the rear camera.
The display issues that OnePlus 9 users had reported has been fixed, and the screen tearing problem should no longer occur when returning to the homescreen from games. The notification bar is no longer blank. The fingerprint unlocking experience is smoother, and the battery life of the device has been optimized,
The new firmware ships with the December Android Security Patch from Google’s Bulletin. One of the major issues in the OxygenOS update was the 5G mobile network connectivity, which stopped working after the firmware had been installed. The latest update solves this bug.
Known issues in OxygenOS 12
A OnePlus representative has acknowledged that the initial release had problems with auto-fill in Google Chrome, Gcam unable to access the Ultra HD 48 megapixels camera or the Auxiliary camera. These bugs will be fixed in a future update.
