The wait is finally over for Nexus 4 users. Google has finally made available the factory images for Nexus 4 Android 5.0 Lollipop and is now available for public download on Google servers. If you own a Nexus 4 and wanted to install Android 5.0 Lollipop on your device, just download the factory images and use it to install the latest Android 5.0 on your beloved Nexus 4.
The factory image for Nexus 4 can be downloaded from Google servers here. The file is approximately 472 MB in size.
You need to use adb commands to install the factory image of Android 5.0 Lollipop on your Nexus 4 or you can use Nexus Rootkit for oing the same. We will cover that part in a separate post later on, but most of Nexus users are already aware of how to flash the Factory image.
Caution: Keep in mind, flashing the factory image may wipe out all stored data from your device.
If you are not sure what to do with this big factory image file, you must wait for OTA update to arrive for Android 5.0 Lollipop on your Nexus 4, which hopefully should arrive soon to everyone (may be in few weeks maximum).
