Update: The network went back to normal around 10 AM. Both calls and 4G data for me started working around 10 AM for our own Jio Sim and many other colleagues.
Reliance JIO has disrupted the Telecom market since its entry and at the moment still offering the JIO Summer Surprise offer with three months of FREE services including unlimited calls and 4 G data for next three months before they start charging. But today since morning, many users are complaining of NO Jio signal for their active Sim cards over social networks such as twitter. There is no network available on JIO sim. More tweets about no Jio signals or no network are available here.
In fact, we checked our own JIO sim and found the claim to be true. There is no JIO signals available since morning or may be since midnight as we only checked the signals in morning. AT the moment, the Jio Network shows “Emergency Calls only” and you have no access to the mobile network which means you cannot make or recieve calls or use the 4G data using your Jio Sim card.
If you try searching for mobile network manually from your smartphone by disabling the “Choose Automatically” under your network settings, you can find out that JIO 4G network is being detected by your smartphone, but your SIM card can’t be registered. It appears to be some technical glitch over the network instead of some local issue.
