HMD Global has launched the Nokia 2.2 in India. This is an entry level device, which on paper could punch above its weight.
The phone sports a 5.71-inch HD+ display with a water-drop notch, and can crank the brightness up to 400 nits. The bezels are quite minimalistic, and it kind of looks like a premium phone. The Nokia 2.2 runs Android 9 Pie with Android One, and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor which is clocked at 2.0GHz.
In terms of memory, the phone comes in 2 variants: 2GB RAM/16GB ROM and 3GB RAM/32GB ROM. Though it doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner, the Nokia 2.2 supports Face Unlock via the 5MP camera housed in the “Selfie-notch”, as the company calls it.
The main camera is a 13MP lens with an f/2.2 aperture and an LED Flash. The Nokia 2.2 packs a 3,000 mAh battery which supports 5W charging over a micro-USB port.
