Nokia made its comeback by unveiling the mid range Nokia 6 in January, exclusively for Chinese smartphone market, sold via JD.com. The company is holding an event at Mobile World Congress MWC 2017 on 26th February and is expected to announce new phones. As per a new report from @evleaks, Nokia is going to announce four phones at MWC 2017 which includes Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 along with a new version of popular Nokia 3310.
As per this report, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 will be strip down version of Nokia 6 with lower hardware specifications. Nokia 6 is already unveiled in China which features 5.5-inch full HD display powered by Snapdragon 430 SOC along with 4 GB of RAM running Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and 16 MP main rear camera. Nokia 3 and 5 will come with lower specifications to hit lower price points.
The report indicates that Nokia 5 is rumored to be powered by the same chipset i.e. Snapdragon 430 but will come with a smaller display of 5.2 inches at 720p along with lower RAM i.e. just 2 GB RAM instead of 4GB. and features a main camera 12 MP. Thanks to lower specifications, it will be priced lower(~ €50) at €199. Similarly, Nokia 3 will be the entry-level Android phone and may be priced at €149.
Apart from these smartphones, the company also plans to launch a modern variant of hugely popular Nokia 3310 which till few years back offered great battery life and nearly indestructible build. It is expected to be priced at just €59.
