We keep hearing rumors that Nokia the Finnish smartphone maker hasn’t given up on smartphones yet, in spite of its mobile division being purchased by Microsoft Corp and is coming back to the smartphone market soon. Adding to that rumor mill, a new smartphone under Nokia brand with model No D1C is spotted on Antutu benchmarking portal which is running Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
As per the Antutu listing, Nokia D1C sports a full HD 1080p display and is powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430MSM8937 processor along with Adreno 505 GPU & 3 GB of RAM. It comes with 32 GB of internal storage running Android 7.0 Nougat based operating system. We have no idea whether this operating system is similar to stock Android or a heavily customised UI just like some of earlier Nokia devices such as Nokia X. In terms of camera, it sports a 13 MP main rear camera and a 8 MP front shooter for selfies.
At the moment, there is no information on when this new smartphone will be launched officially and how, as Nokia has left the smartphone business after Microsoft bought their mobile business including the Lumia brand. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
