The Android version of Nokia’s popular Maps and Navgation application, HERE Maps, has been leaked.
In case, you haven’t heard of the app before, it is a popular app which made it’s debut on Windows Phone, before making it’s way on to Android devices.
The most notable feature of the app is the option to download maps for offline navigation. Though it is still in beta, it works just fine.
All you need to do is download the Nokia HERE Maps APK from here. Make sure you have enabled the installation of apps from unknown sources, under your device’s security settings.
Register and login to the app using Facebook, or via email to begin using it. To access the offline maps, swipe from the left of the screen towards the right to find the sidebar.
Select download maps, and navigate to the Continent and the Country region you wish to download the map for. You can also download maps for an entire Continent or Country, but that would eat a large chunk of your phone’s memory.
Note: You need to have a device running on Android 4.0 or higher, for the app to work. We tested it on our Moto G, and it works just fine.
