You may have read our previous coverage of the Nokia Normandy, which has seen quite a few leaked images.
But now, an online retailer may have leaked the device’s full technical specifications.
Viatnamese retailer, The Gioididong posted the information at their website, though the device it self wasn’t put up for sale. The page is no longer available, suggesting that they were requested by Nokia to take it down.
WMPoweruser mention that the Vietnamese website had information, which said that the mobile would support various Google services such as Google Play, YouTube and Google Now. And I have to agree with them that it may not be genuine, considering that Nokia has its own set of apps and will be using their own Appstore instead of Google’s.
- Operating System: Android 4.4 (KitKat)
- Display: 4.0″ FWVGA 480 x 854 Pixels
- CPU: 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200
- GPU: Adreno 302
- Memory: 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal memory with support for 32 GB expandable memory
- Camera: 5.0 Mega Pixel rear camera. (No flash)
No information regarding the battery capacity was leaked. Interestingly, the leaked information says the device will not have a camera flash, while the image leaked a few weeks ago suggested that it did have a flash. Of course, it is possible that the leaked image could very well be for a different device.
Clearly the specs of the Normandy, if they are genuine, are very disappointing, and the device could well end up being branded as an entry level phone. With the low amount of RAM and internal storage available, and a 1GHz dual core processor, it is impossible to expect that it will be a gaming device either.
