There has been so much of buzz around Nokia X, the first Android based smartphone from Nokia after the official announcement of Nokia X, X+ and XL at Mobile world congress 2014. As we reported earlier, Nokia X is listed on an Indian e-retailer portal for Rs 8,499 and is expected to ship around 15th March. Along with that listing, Nokia India has now started to send press invites for a press event on March 10 where it will be officially launched in India along with pricing and availability details.
Even though Nokia X runs a forked version of Android 4.4 AOSP kitkat, developers have successfully rooted the device and installed Google Apps, Play Store, Google Now Launcher on the device.
