The Nothing Phone 1 is getting a new software update. The company has released the Nothing OS 1.1.2 Update which brings various improvements to the recently launched 5G mobile.
What’s new in the Nothing OS 1.1.2 Update
The firmware has a new setting that users may toggle, to display the fingerprint icon on the screen, even when the display is off. The always-on display mode is now disabled at night by default, likely to reduce the battery consumption of the feature.
Nothing says that it has improved the charging performance and compatibility issues with 3rd party chargers. The Nothing OS 1.1.2 update fixes some issues related to the Bluetooth codec. It also optimizes some details in the user interface.
The update ships with some general bug fixes and stability improvements, though the company has not provided any information about these changes. The Nothing OS 1.1.2 Update weighs about 38.28MB to download, it bumps the build number from Spacewar 51.1-220716-0150 to 51.1-220728-0051.
According to a report by GSMArena, the Nothing Phone 1 still has audio quality issues, even after installing the latest update. The blog says that face unlock has been unreliable, and that the new option to make the fingerprint reader icon appear on the always-on display does not do anything.
