Nothing Tech has improved the stability of the camera for sharper videos. The recording light indicator is now always-on by default, and can be changed from the settings.
The OTA update optimizes the Launcher experience, displays more accurate battery status. The release notes indicate that Nothing has increased the maximum brightness of the Phone 1, when playing HDR content. This was an issue that had caused some controversy surrounding the device. Nothing had advertised that the smartphone’s screen supports a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits, but it was discovered that the display was capped to 700 nits. It is unclear whether the Nothing Phone 1 5G update fixes the problem completely.
The update improves the Flip to Glyph animation, and the Glyph charging light is synced to the sound effect. The NFC sound effect has also been updated. The Nothing Phone 1 supports all 5G bands in India: n1/n3/n5/n7/n8/n20/n28/n38/n40/n41/n77/n78. It already supports Airtel 5G networks in India.
According to a screenshot shared by a user on XDA, the download size of the Nothing Phone 1 5G update is about 62.04 MB. The version number of the update is NP1 Update 1.1.6.
