The teaser image shared by the company on its Instagram page, shows that the rear panel of the upcoming mobile has a transparent design with surfacing curved circuits. The official website says that the device has been made with consciously chosen materials. The top left corner of the rear cover is home to a vertical camera bump which contains two cameras, and an LED flash module next to it.
The presence of the coil in the Nothing Phone 1 design confirms that the phone will support wireless charging. The phone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm processor, likely the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. However, some rumours on the internet are suggesting that the Nothing Phone could feature a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. The phone will run on Nothing OS based on Android 12.
The company founded by Carl Pei, has confirmed that the Nothing Phone 1 is being manufactured in India, at a plant in Tamil Nadu. The batteries however are sourced from China, so it is not 100% made in India. Still, the fact that it is being assembled in the Country, should help keep its prices slightly lower.
The Nothing Phone 1 is set to launch on July 12th in India.
