The Nothing Phone 2 launch date may be closer than you think. The successor to the unusual Nothing Phone 1, is set to arrive in Summer 2023.
The company, which is headed by former OnePlus executive, Carl Pei, confirmed via its social media channels that it would announce the next-gen mobile in the coming months. It also has a teaser page on the official website, though it doesn’t really tell much about the upcoming handset.
The Nothing Phone 1 turned heads for its unique design with several lights on the rear panel, and its Glyph interface which allowed users to customize the experience.
Rumours on the internet suggest that the Nothing Phone 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It is not the latest flagship processor from Qualcomm, but using last year’s chipset could make the device a bit more affordable than recent devices. This could allow the brand to capture a sizeable chunk of the upper mid-range market. The new mobile could be equipped with an AMOLED screen with a 120Hz Refresh Rate.
Nothing Phone 2 launch date
The brand has not confirmed the Nothing Phone 2 launch date, it just says that the mobile would be announced in Summer 2023. Despite a successful launch, the Nothing Phone 1 was sold exclusively in India and Europe, and never made it to North America. That is changing this year, as the company’s CEO, Carl Pei, recently confirmed that the Nothing Phone 2 will be available in the U.S.
On a side note, the company has hinted that the Android 14 beta update for Nothing Phone 1 could be available soon for users.
