OnePlus is rolling out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OTA Update (OxygenOS 3.0.2) for OnePlus 2 smartphones. The announcement is made at their Facebook page and on the OnePlus Forums. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA Update for OnePlus 2 is rolling out in phases and will reach out to everyone in the next 48 hours.
This updates brings new features and enhancements, but will erase your stored fingerprints and hence you need to set up fingerprints again after the update. The update brings Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow upgrade to OnePlus 2 along with other features such as enhanced Doze mode for better battery life, System wide performance improvements including fingerprint sensor.
It also brings a new OnePlus Camera UI and Auto Focus optimization. The update removes MaxxAudio & Tuner and brings Dirac HD Sound technology for the speaker. It also brings improvements to Shelf UX letting you edit a board with long press. The update makes Network operator selection better and helps you avoid accidentally roam onto unintended networks. The swift key app is now updated to version 6.3.3.
