OnePlus has announced a price cut for its flagship phone, the OnePlus 2, in the U.S and Europe.
The phone which was originally launched for $389 for the 64GB variant, and for $329 for the 16GB variant.
The OnePlus 2 16GB variant was recently discontinued in the U.S and Europe, citing poor sales, as compared to the 64GB model. The company’s co-founder Carl Pei, announced today, that production cost of the OnePlus 2 has fallen, and that the company wanted to shre this with the users, hence the price cut.
The OnePlus 2 64GB vcraint is available for $349 from the official online store, and you get free shipping for any orders above $100. Additionally all buyers of a OnePlus 2 will get a StyleSwap Cover, and OnePlus X buyers will get a free Case. All buyers who bought the OnePlus 2 within the last 15 days, will get a refund of $40.
It is unclear if OnePlus will cut the price of the phone in India, it currently retails for Rs 24999 ($367). Given that the OnePlus One never got a price cut here for over 20 months, we don’t expect to see one for the OnePlus 2.
