OnePlus has announced that its upcoming flagship phone will come with a fingerprint scanner.
The company claims it is an advanced sensor, and will unlock the device faster than Apple’s TouchID.
That is a far-fetched claim, and unethical. Why do they need to compare it with other companies, and even before it is released?
The “lightning quick” sensor will take you to the homescreen in one quick tap. The device can store up to five fingerprint profiles. OnePlus’ announcement states multiple times that its secure.
The OnePlus 2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1, which runs cooler than the older version of the SoC. The OnePlus 2 will come with a USB Type-C port, allowing one cable to be used for charging and for high speed data transfers. The phone will cost more than $322, the company confirmed.
The OnePlus 2 is launching on July 27th, in Virtual Reality.
