After loads of rumors and leaks, OnePlus 3 is officially launched just sometime back via a VR Launch event. OnePlus has launched only one variant of the flagship device i.e. OnePlus 3 with 6 GB of RAM. There is no 4 GB RAM variant as many rumors suggested. The Graphite variant of the OnePlus 3 will be available exclusively on Amazon India, 12:30 AM onward starting June 15 for Rs. 27,999 whereas the Soft Gold variant will be launched later.
OnePlus 3 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED , 2.5D display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and is powered by 2.15 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 along with Adreno 530 GPU and 6 GB of RAM. It comes with 64 GB UFS 2.0 internal storage but with no support for expandable storage via microSD card. It runs on OnePlus own Oxygen OS 3.1 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system.
In terms of camera, it comes with 16 MP main rear camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, LED flash, 1.12 micron pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, OIS along with support for 4K video recording at 30 fps & 720p slow motion at 120 fps. The front shooter is a 8 MP Sony IMX179 sensor with 1.4 micron pixel size, f/2.0 aperture and support for FHD 1080p video recording.
It comes with Dual Nano SIM slots, a finger print sensor embedded in home button on front and NFC support. OnePlus was criticized for lack of NFC in OnePlus 2 last year and they seem to have fixed that now. It also comes with a USB C type port instead of usual micro USB port and with 4G LTE with VoLTE support.
It is backed by a battery of 3000 mAh Battery along with Dash Charging which can charge up to more than 60% of the 3,000 mAh battery in 30 minutes and continues fast charging even when streaming video or playing energy-intensive games.
