The technical specifications of the upcoming Chinese flagship, the OnePlus 3, have been leaked by Evan Blass. The phone looks set to be codenamed as Rain A3000, the number has been traditionally followed since the OnePlus One A1000 and the OnePlus 2 A2000.
Now, the OnePlus 3 will apparently sport a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display, and be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. OnePlus seems to be sticking to 64GB storage, and seeing as last year’s flagship with a 16GB storage, didn’t do as well as the 64GB one, and was discontinued for the said reason, we wouldn’t be very surprised if there wasn’t a 16GB variant for the OnePlus 3.
In the camera department, the OnePlus 3 will feature a 16 megapixel rear camera. And guess who is back on the OnePlus flagship, why hello NFC. We guess there is nothing wrong in saying that Carl Pei was woefully off the mark about NFC, what with Android Pay becoming a sought after feature in the US, and more recently the UK.
And yes, the screenshot you see is from an Android N preview build running on the OnePlus 3. But we don’t expect the phone to ship with a half baked OS, and well of course the phone is running Oxygen OS 3.1.0 (based on N) on it, which is not exactly the good news you want to hear, right?
We will hopefully have more news on the OnePlus 3 soon.
