OnePlus launched their flagship device OnePlus 3 in June 2016 and have managed to create a buzz by pricing it at almost half the price of other flagship device, yet managing to offer flagship specification and experience to end users. We are far away from the launch of company’s next flagship device probably named as OnePlus 4, yet we have started to hear rumors about the device on the web even though the rumors are yet far from credible.
A new rumor on Chinese social network weibo indicates that OnePlus 4 may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor and may launch in June – July 2017. The rumored launch date can be a guess-work considering the fact that OnePlus 3 was announced in June 2016. Similarly, Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor can also be a guesswork considering the fact that Qualcomm’s latest SOC at the moment is Snapdragon 821 and the company is expected to launch their next high-end processor as Snapdragon 830.
Reports already indicate that Samsung is exclusively manufacturing the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 830 chips and may even power the Samsung Galaxy S8. We already have seen OnePlus A3010 model spotted on China 3C certification approval listing, but we can safely assume that it is not OnePlus 4 but may be a minor upgrade on existing Oneplus 3 if launched at all.
Take this rumor with too much of salt as it is just a rumor, not backed by any credible information. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
