Just a few hours back, we reported that 8 GB RAM variant of OnePlus 5 is spotted on benchmarking portal Geekbench confirming the earlier rumour that OnePlus may announce two OnePlus 5 variants i.e. 1st with 6 GB RAM and 2nd with 8 GB RAM. We have already seen the first official image of OnePlus 5, confirming the dual camera setup at back aligned horizontally similar to Apple iPhone 7 Plus and upcoming Oppo R11.
Now, we have more confirmation about the existence of 8 GB RAM variant thanks to another benchmark listing of OnePlus 5 on benchmarking portal Gfxbench.
The Gfxbench listing also reveals more details about the hardware specification of the upcoming flagship device. As per Gfxbench listing, OnePlus 5 A5000 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and is powered by 2.4 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with Adreno 540 GPU & 8 GB of RAM. It comes with 128 GB of internal storage and runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) based OxygenOS operating system.
In terms of camera, it comes with a 16 MP main rear camera (which we assume as one of the camera sensors of Dual camera setup) with support for Ultra HD 4K video recording and a front shooter of 16 MP along with support for Full HD Video recording. The benchmark listing doesn’t reveal the battery information, but rumours suggest that it is backed by a 3300 mAh battery. We can see the NFC sensor support listed.
We are still one and half weeks away from the official launch of OnePlus 5 scheduled on June 20, followed by the launch in China on June 21 & in India on June 22. Until then, rumours mills will continue to churn out something every day till the official launch happens. We at Androidpure will keep tracking them.
